Oily, combination skin, acne, blackheads
Oily skin / combination skin occurs due to overactive sebaceous glands, located in the hair follicles of the skin. Pores become clogged, which leads to inflammation. An example of such inflammation is acne, which can occur at any age.
The most common cause of oily skin and the occurrence of acne are hormonal changes during puberty and in women before menstruation. Acne typically appear on the face, but can also occur on the neck, back, shoulders and chest.
In addition to genetic predispositions, the following factors have the greatest impact on skin health: exposure to UV radiation (excessive sunbathing, tanning beds), chemical toxins, smoking, alcohol, poor diet, insufficient fluid intake, lack of rest, stress and aging.
